The ‘story’ in the project
This small restaurant is located in a suburb in southern Sydney where more than half of its residents has Chinese ancestry.
The design inspiration had to deal with the idea of memory, in this case of China, and the evocative and emotional power of things: a text, a drawing, a photo, a scent, a flavor… therefore of a memory.
The inspiration from these memories has been turned into a design narrative to connect with the clients: choosing from fragments, remembering the owner personal experience, interpreting and recomposing it, almost like a collage, through finishes or details, have offered something unique that resonates with the clients and made them feel comfortable in the space.
